Hawk Units improve Volumetric Mixer profitability through enhanced quality and inventory control.

Hawk Units provide Volumetric Mixer operators with discharge information and a log of mixer usage. The optional printer provides a batch ticket containing a record of the delivery. The Hawk Eye communication (optional) package sends real time information on the activity and location of the Mixer to the head office. Inventory and quality control, monitoring and operational records delivers improved profitability!

The Hawk Units are an OEM installation or can be retrofitted to any Mixer. The Hawk is typically mounted at the rear of the Mixer close to the Mixer controls or it can be mounted in the cab. The driver selects one of 99 pre-programmed concrete mix/strengths and the Hawk displays the gate settings and logs the delivery.

During operation the following information can be displayed in either metric or US units on the LCD Screen.

    • Concrete volume discharged
    • Multi load concrete volume
    • Weight of sand, stone and cement discharged

Options:

Printer
The cab mounted impact ticket printer, prints a detailed delivery ticket, on one or two part paper.  The custom configuration of the printout enables you to provide a wide range of information including: Company Information, Date and Time, Ticket number, and information about the concrete mix delivered.

Water Meter
If the vehicle is equipped or retrofitted with a water meter then water volume added, water / cubic unit of concrete discharged and water/cement weight ratio is available to display and print.

Admixture Injection and Printing
For vehicles already equipped with admixture pumps and metering system, the Hawk Unit can print the volume of each admixture and the admixture/concrete ratio.

For optimum control, an admixture injection system that uses electric or hydraulic powered pumps can be installed. This system controls the flow of the admixtures with respect to the conveyor speed, thus, ensuring the admixture ratio is exact.

Gate Sensors:
The Gate Sensors close the loop on quality control by providing the client and owner with a printed record of the actual gate settings while the concrete is being mixed.

Hawk-Pro
This software manages the mix designs and calibrations for a fleet of vehicles and incorporates the mix designs with the calibration of individual trucks. The fleet owner is able to upload the mix designs to any vehicle, eliminating the need to program each Mixer

“Hawk Eye” Communications:
This software is a full featured production monitoring and information system for fleet owners.

This software package is installed on an office computer. Each Mixer has an internet enabled cell modem allowing it to pass data to this computer.  When the Mixer’s conveyor runs, the production data (including the mix, material weights and volumes, and volume delivered) is sent by the Hawk Unit, through the modem to the office computer.  This allows real time monitoring of jobs. 

The production data is stored for each Mixer in a spreadsheet, suitable for use in job billing, material inventory control, and fleet management.

The Job Manager, included with Hawk Eye, provides a map view that allows the dispatcher to click and place future jobs on the map.   With the map showing the true location of the jobs and their volumes, the dispatcher can schedule the Mixers for the day much more efficiently.  As the jobs are serviced, they are updated in real time.
